Black Gesso and Assemdog class

Greetings Everyone,
First I would like to Thank Monica Martinek for allowing me to teach at her awesome shop Scrapbook U in Fremont California. The class was an absolute blast. Once again I was humbled by the talented students that I had the priviledge to teach.
Secondly, I want to remind everyone about my class this Saturday the 31st. In this class we will be exploring the use of Black Gesso, iridescent and interference paints. I will be teaching this class at Luna's Memories here in El Granada. If you haven't been to Luna's Memories you should. You will be amazed at the amount and variety of product they sell. I have posted a picture from my class above.
Also don't forget about a new class being given by a fellow Art instructor Maria Ontiveros. Its her assemblage class -1 Lucky Dog. I definately will be attending this class-I already even have an idea of what I would like my finished dog to look like! Maria is Teaching her new class this friday the 30th at Luna's Memories. Class times are 6:00 to 9:00 pm. You can see a picture of the assem "dog" above.
In fact for those of you out of town how about a mini retreat-You could take Maria' class on Friday, stay overnight here at the coast then attend my Black Gesso class on Saturday. How's that for an idea!

Texture for Collage Artists class

Greetings everyone,
This Saturday the 24th I am teaching at a great little shop called Scrapbook U in Fremont. I will be teaching Texture For Collage Artists. In this class I will be introducing different ways to make texture in your collages using Paint, Gesso, Gel Medium, Embossed papers, Molding Paste, Pumice Gel, Tar Gel and Diamond Glaze. Each student will walk out with a Texture sample book with instructions for future reference. Class time is 11:00-4:30pm. Fee is $55.00.

Shrink Plastic Shrine Class

Greetings everyone! Well Saturdays Shrink Plastic Class was an absolute blast. This was a class filled with exceptionally talented Artists that were an inspiration to teach. All I can say about the art created is WOW! I want to thank Becky for allowing me to teach at her wonderful shop Stampbug. And also I want to thank all the students who took the class and listened to all my ramblings for 4 hours. Thanks again everyone. See you all soon!

Shrink Plastic Shrine jewelry class

Hello everyone. I wanted to remind all of you that I am teaching in Salinas tomorrow (Saturday 17th) at a wonderful shop called Stampbug. I am teaching a new class called Shrink Plastic Shrine Jewelry. Ever wonder what to do with all of those incredible Shrine Stamps? Stamp the images and shrink them of course! After the images are shrunken they can be collaged together into awsome jewlery! And who doesn't love shrink Plastic? I have included a picture above. Luminous Gel medium

First, I want to start this blog by thanking all the students that took my Luminous Gel Medium classes. I had an absolute blast and I hope all my students did as well.
Secondly I want to say Wow! The amount of Artistic talent that surrounded me in these classes was staggering. Each and every piece created was stunning and in a word Luminous. Here are a few of my best pictures for inspiration.

Mini Art Retreat

Hello all,
I was talking to one of my favorite art teachers today-Maria Ontiveros. If you haven't taken one of Maria's classes you should. Maria is one of the very talented Artists residing here on the Coast. Maria's talent ranges from perfect rubber stamping to collage and now assemblage.

Yes I've finally entered into the 21st century and created a blog. Connie's all grown up and fighting for her dream. Art, Art,Art its all about the Art.
So that said I should tell everyone about my new class. It's called Luminous Gel Medium and is the fourth class in my Textural Effects series.
